Checkout or payment failed

Fix cart checkout issues: sign in, remove duplicates, and retry Stripe checkout from /cart.

Before checkout

  1. Sign in — checkout requires your account (/api/checkout/create-session needs a user ID).
  2. Open /cart and confirm items are selected.
  3. Remove anything you already own — the API returns Duplicate purchase detected (HTTP 409) when entitlements block the sale.

During Stripe checkout

Checkout redirects to Stripe for payment. After success you land on /checkout/success?session_id=…. If you cancel, you return to /cart?cancelled=true.

Payment declined or stuck

  • Verify card details and billing address in Stripe
  • Try another payment method
  • Disable VPN or ad blockers that interfere with Stripe
  • Wait a minute — webhooks may still be processing your order

Paid but library empty?

Allow a short sync delay, then see Library or entitlements slow to update.
