Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to participation in the Krishna Library affiliate program, including referral-based commissions and the purchase, allocation, and distribution of single-use access codes ("codes") through the tools we provide. By applying, registering, or continuing as an affiliate, you agree to this agreement.
This document is an initial program version for transparency and onboarding. It does not constitute legal advice. Where this page conflicts with a separate signed agreement or a mandatory checkout or registration acceptance shown in the product, the more specific acceptance or agreement controls for that transaction.
1. Definitions
- "We," "us," "our" means The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc. and its affiliates operating the Krishna Library digital services ("Platform").
- "You" means the individual or entity accepted into the affiliate program.
- "Affiliate" means a user granted the affiliate role who may use affiliate tools in accordance with these terms and program policies.
- "Group admin" means an affiliate additionally designated with group administration capabilities, including purchasing codes into a group pool and allocating codes to members where enabled.
- "Single-use code" / "code" means a digital redemption credential for eligible Platform content or entitlements, issued subject to product rules, inventory, and technical controls.
- "Referral program" means tracked links and related attribution used to credit qualifying purchases to your affiliate account, as configured in our systems (including third-party affiliate infrastructure such as Rewardful where applicable).
2. Enrollment, approval, and account security
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. We may verify identity, tax, or payout details before paying commissions or enabling certain purchases.
- Approval is at our discretion. We may accept, defer, or reject applications, and may revoke affiliate access for breach, risk, or operational reasons.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
3. Referral commissions and attribution
- Commissions (if any) apply only to qualifying transactions attributed under our referral rules in effect at the time of the transaction. Attribution may rely on cookies, links, or other technical signals and can expire or be invalidated if altered by the customer, blocked, or misconfigured.
- Commission rates, cookie windows, eligible products, and exclusions may change. Marketing copy on registration or dashboard pages is illustrative; authoritative values are those shown in the affiliate tools or your payout statements.
- Payouts are subject to minimum thresholds, fraud review, chargebacks, refunds, and tax documentation requirements. We may withhold or claw back amounts tied to reversed or disputed transactions.
- You are responsible for any taxes on amounts you receive and for complying with reporting obligations in your jurisdiction.
4. Single-use code purchases and inventory
- Purchase for yourself. Affiliates may purchase codes for their personal affiliate inventory where the product allows. Those codes are for your distribution in line with these terms and are accounted for separately from group pool inventory.
- Purchase for a group pool. Where enabled, group admins who are members of the applicable group may purchase codes into that group's shared pool for allocation to group members per Platform rules. You must not attempt to fund a group pool unless you are authorized as a group admin for that group.
- Codes are digital goods. Fees are charged as shown at checkout. Availability, bundles, languages, and catalog items may change. Unless required by applicable law, purchases are generally non-refundable once codes are issued or revealed.
- You may not scrape, harvest, automate purchases in a way that circumvents limits, or resell codes in violation of law or Platform policy. You are responsible for how you market and deliver codes to end users, including clear disclosure that redemption is subject to our end-user terms and product scope.
- Group allocation and de-allocation follow technical and policy rules in the product. Group-sourced inventory may be managed differently from codes you purchased for yourself; do not assume you can move inventory across those contexts unless the product explicitly allows it.
5. Marketing, brand, and end users
- You agree to market honestly: no false claims about products, pricing, or affiliation with us; no impersonation; and compliance with applicable advertising, email, telemarketing, and privacy laws (including consent and unsubscribe requirements).
- You will respect our trademarks and branding guidelines where provided, and you will not register domains, social handles, or ads that are confusingly similar to our brands.
- End users who redeem codes remain subject to our standard consumer terms, acceptable use, and content licenses. You must not misrepresent what a code unlocks or its territorial or device restrictions.
6. Prohibited conduct
Without limitation, you must not:
- Use spyware, malware, cookie stuffing, fraudulent clicks, or artificial traffic to generate commissions or sales.
- Bid on our trademarks in paid search in a way that violates program policies we communicate to you, or engage in typosquatting.
- Promote on sites or channels devoted to piracy, hate, illegal goods, or adult content inconsistent with our mission and brand.
- Buy or sell codes in bulk marketplaces if we designate the program as direct-to-customer or otherwise restricted, or in any manner that facilitates fraud or money laundering.
- Reverse engineer, tamper with, or circumvent code issuance, redemption limits, or security controls.
7. Suspension, termination, and remedies
- We may suspend or terminate your affiliate access, withhold payouts pending investigation, or offset amounts you owe us against future payouts where permitted.
- Upon termination, your right to use affiliate tools ceases. Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g., payment obligations accrued, confidentiality, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- The Platform and affiliate tools are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, goodwill, or data, arising from your participation in the program.
- Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the affiliate program is limited to the net commissions actually paid to you in the six (6) months preceding the claim (excluding amounts we may recover for fraud or chargebacks).
9. Changes; notices
- We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where we choose.
- Continued use of affiliate features after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using affiliate tools and contact us to close out pending obligations.
10. Governing law; contact
To the extent permitted by law, these terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in California shall have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these terms, subject to any consumer protections that apply in your home jurisdiction and cannot be waived.
